Dreams and the Night

I have so many dreams
And yet they seem to fade
I must let them go

To lose all these things
Quietens the mind
Allowing the soul to speak

Yet to let them go
Is a painful thing
A sense of hope-lost

But I must set them adrift
In a boat with no anchor
To return to their source

The night
